Josh and I at 20.
When Josh and I were 20 he won a PTQ and was able to go to Pro-Tour Venice. I was helping him plan and saw I could get a round trip ticket for $500 so I said fuck it I'm going. And I did. We switched planes in Detroit and my parents still lived there at the time so they came and got us at the airport during our layover and we went out to dinner with them before going onto Venice. This summer at my cousin's open house I asked my dad if I could copy the files from the memory card in his camera so I could get some pictures of my extended family. I didn't have time to go through them so I just copied everything. Tonight in going through them I found pictures from that layover. So......

This is actually still my mental picture of Josh. I'm sure I'll get used to the beard one of these days.

haha he looks older even w/o the beard. When I saw these I was like.... WOW... (older is good not bad, he looks like he's like 17 here)

It's the age not the beard! I assure you I've seen him shaved more recently and the difference is still there. These pictures are 5 years old. He's just grown up. See here's an interim step. He's 22 or 23 here I forget which but looks more similar to how he does now then he did then.

I was wearing my brother's watch ON MY RIGHT HAND(I switched where I wear the watch for guitar.

I look every bit the pro magic player.
I may have needed a shave.
My hat is hilarious.

Oh, and btw, I look a lot more different now than you do.

I almost forgot! It wasn't a PTQ, I got 15th at a GP where 9 of the top 16 were already Q'd, so the top8 invites handed down PAST 15th place. :)

Thumbholes was my first observation. Even more so that YOU have thumbholes.
You got the super watch later this year.
You didn't work there until the next year.
The shave thing is SO much funnier given above comments.

I just went through my pictures...I think this is me at 20:




Not sure what I was so angry about. Being 20 was way better than being 26 or 27. Perhaps it was because my eyebrows were so thin.

I have not yet been 26 or 27 but I definitely prefer later years to 20 although financially I was WAY better off at 20. I look younger because 1) I am w/ Josh and he looks young and you know we are the same age, 2) I am not wearing any makeup and am wearing clothing suitable for spending like 15 hrs on airplanes. When I was 20 people generally thought I was 22-24.

Oh also. One thing I HARDCORE notice is that my eyebrows are not waxed. SO much better now.
